The Business Analyst (BA) will be responsible for gathering and understanding the business requirements along with technical needs. The BA will then ensure that the requirements are accurately documented allowing technical teams implement the defined solution. This person should be confident working both on their own and with development team members and key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for web based solutions and enjoy working in a fast paced, challenging but rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

  • Document requirements of new features and improvements clearly, working closely with stakeholders and dev team to allow the team to estimate accurately and deliver functionality and features on time, and with high quality

  • Develop a deep understanding of the EXADS platform from both user and technical perspectives

  • Assessment of feature requests against existing functionality

  • Understand the development process and resource requirements for all development work

  • Data gathering and exploration, research into current industry trends, and what competitors might be doing

  • Awareness of cost effectiveness, timeliness and priorities of each delivery

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a business analyst, or similar role in a tech company

  • Naturally organised and diligent in efficiently defining clear requirements to complex business or technical problems

  • Naturally customer focused with a strong desire to deeply understand user needs and development workflows

  • Experience working in an Agile development environment

  • Proven track record of gathering customer requirements, analysing and translating these into business processes

  • Comfortable using diagraming tools to define user/system workflows

  • Self motivated and keen to learn new technologies and methodologies

  • Excellent written, spoken and interpersonal communication skills

Education & Qualifications

  • Third Level qualification in a Technical or Business management discipline OR equivalent experience
